Edna Frances Weiden, 86, a longtime resident of Farmingdale passed away June 7, 2009. Predeceased by her husband Joe and by her parents, Catherine and William Ryan. Sister of Olive Felber. Mother of Jim (Lucille), Bob (Karen), Joe (Andrea) and MaryEllen McShane (Bill). Grandmother of Bob (Kerri), Adrienne (Chris), Jen (James), Jessica (Scott), Julia, Katherine, Megan and William. Great-grandmother of Lindsey, August and Avery. Edna was a longtime parishioner at St. Kilian RC Church, where she was baptized and married, and also served as a Eucharistic Minister. Arrangements were made by Arthur F. White Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was held June 10 at St. Kilian RC Church with interment following at St. Charles Cemetery.

Formerly of New York, she was an attorney in private practice, a member of the Alumni of NY Law School, past president of the Queens City Women’s Bar Association and member of the advisory board of Port Orange, FL. Obituary: Mary Elizabeth Dieterle

Mary Elizabeth Dieterle, of Bethpage, passed away June 1, 2009. Mary was born and raised in Mill Neck. She was one of five children born to the late Charles and Emily Simons, and for more than 50 years she was the wife of Harold Dieterle Sr. (deceased). Mary will be remembered by her children, Harold, Jr. and Dee Dee; daughter-in-law Mary Beth and son-in-law Chris Knott; her grandchildren, Harold III, Jennifer Gordon; and great- grandchildren, Chase, Amanda, Emily, Gwyneth and Oonagh; along with other friends and family. Mary enjoyed participating in sports such as ice skating and golf, and in her later years enjoyed watching sports and spending time with her family. Arrangements were made by Arthur F. White Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was held June 5 at St. Martin of Tours RC Church with interment following at Holy Rood Cemetery.
