Ostrowski, Theresa, 93, formerly of Bethpage, passed away on Aug. 29 at her daughter’s home in Cold Spring Harbor. Beloved wife of the late John (Dec. 2000). Gagliano, Theresa J. formerly of New Jersey passed away on Aug. 28. Devoted sister of Jacqueline Raha, her husband John Raha, and the late Anthony Gagliano, and his late wife, Camille. Predeceased also by her beloved companion, Eugene Farrell. Cherished aunt of eight nieces and nephews and 12 grandnieces and grandnephews. A former nun and retired Catholic elementary school teacher, she spent her life dedicated and giving to others. Lizzol, Roger J., 53, lifelong Farmingdale resident passed away unexpectedly August 25, 2013. Cherished husband of Lori (nee Harsch). Devoted father of Kimberly and Joseph. Spinella, Mary C., a longtime Bethpage resident passed away at the age of 94 on Aug. 24. Beloved wife of the late Frank T. Spinella. Brooks, Catherine E. (nee Jorgensen), of Bellevue, NE (formerly of Melville) passed away on Aug. 20, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Gordon. Loving mother of Gordon and his wife, Susan. Cherished grandmother of Graham and Max. Dear sister of Elizabeth Steenbuck, the late Larry Jorgensen and the late Frances Kasper. She is now reunited with her husband and their cherished companions, the late Bunky, Kim and Lance. Sloan, David C., age 69, of Bethpage, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. On Sunday, Aug. 18, at Lowell General Hospital., Lowel,l MA, he passed on from this life after a long battle with a head injury, which occurred as a result of a car accident in 1966. Born Feb. 22, 1944, in Bethpage, he was the son of the late William S and Lourene A. Sloan. He was a graduate of Bethpage High School and Evangel College, Springfield, MO, where David was on the golf team. He was also a lifetime member of Bethpage Assembly of God. Surviving are his five brother and sisters. William B. (Mary Ruth), Lourene C. Zahac, Ruth C. Banach (John), Clara A. Tooker (Ken), and W. Douglas Sloan (Mary). He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law John Zahac. Also surviving are two nephews and nieces nieces and many grandnephews and nieces. Friends and relatives attended services on Aug. 22, at the Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc. with Pastor Sal Bennardo officiating. Interment followed in the family plot at the Bethpage United Methodist Church Cemetery.
