Now that we’re in the full embrace of winter with its array of storms, blizzards and polar vortexes, the inclusion of a mud room in a home becomes all the more important. According to the American Heritage Dictionary, a mud room is “A small room or entryway in a house where wet or muddy footwear and clothing can be removed.” It’s the kind of amenity in a home that keeps the degree of getting dirt tracked into the house at a minimum.
