Martin Ryan, formerly of Bellerose Terrace, died on March 8, 1998. WWII veteran and a US Naval Aviation Boatswains Mate 2nd Class aboard the USS Bon Homme Richard. Husband of Virginia. Father of daughters Kathleen and Patricia and son William Quick. Grandfather of Lauren, Anthony, Ryan and William.Maria R. Barresi, of formerly of Stewart Manor, died on March 9, 1998. Wife of the late Andrew. Mother of Maria-Elena Deeney, Diane Geherin and Dr. Andrew Barresi. Grandmother of nine. Arrangements were made by the Krauss Funeral Home, Franklin Square. Funeral Mass at St. Anne's RC Church. Interment St. John's Cemetery. Maureen C. Welsh, of Stewart Manor, died on March 10, 1998. Wife of John. Mother and mother-in-law of Maureen and John Obermeier, Karen and Kevin O'Neill, John and JoAnne Welsh, Kenneth and Eileen Welsh. Sister of the late Daniel Crowley. Sister-in-law of Lorraine. Grandmother of Jennifer, Daniel, Tara, Sean and Erin. Arrangements were made by the the R. Stutzmann and Son Funeral Home, Queens Village. Funeral Mass at St. Anne's RC Church. Interment Calverton National Cemetery.
