Nassau County Executive Thomas S. Gulotta (2nd right) met recently with Goodwill Games Founder Ted Turner (left) and Olympic Gymnast Dominique Dawes (center, front) to plan the major events which will be staged in Nassau County during the games between July 19 and Aug. 2. County Executive Gulotta stated that "The world will be coming to Nassau County this summer and we plan to demonstrate why our county is becoming a major sports mecca in the Northeast, as well as a wonderful place to live, work and raise a family." Also joining in the planning session, which was held at the Madison Square Boys and Girls Club in Manhattan, were Governor George Pataki (2nd left); Gerald Levin, chairman and CEO of Time Warner (3rd from right); and the Nassau County Legislature's Presiding Officer, Bruce Blakeman (extreme right).
