The recent cold spell had no effect, whatsoever, on the eyes and arms of the Floral Park Casey keglers, as they continued to give the Sterling Lane lumber the usual 2345 "going-over."
John Fittipaldi led the onslaught with a nifty 594 set that had a 224 and a 203 in its make-up, followed by Jim Kearney's 584 3-gamer, made up of 222 and 221 single beauties. A Frank Dehler 232 solo gave him a 564 trio while Joe O'Donnell was cranking out 203 and 205 solos leading up to 547 count. Sean Brady and Mike Gallagher did a brother act. At 544, Mike posting a 202 loner, on the way and Greg Simicich trailed them, at 533. Jack Price rolled a solid 523 while Paul Simonetti and Joe Silvestri were knotted, at 521 - Joe pitching a 204 one-timer. Vinny DeGregorio carded a solid 515 while Fred Dorgler, Sr. and Paul Bergstrom were tangled at 514 with Rich Lahey ringing in, at 507. Rich Biggin was the caboose on The Star Train, with an even 500.
Team action saw the Jim Kearney-led Drink, Drank, Drunk four do a 5-2 number on the Sons and Fathers, bossed by Fred Dorgler, Sr., while Eddy Goodloe was piloting his Goodo's 4 to a 502 win over the Hurricanes, led by Greg Simicich. The Three Blind Mice, minus Capt. Bob Mashburn, took the measure of Sean Brady's Bombers, in a 5-2 setback, while Eddy Hackimer was leading his Cliffhangers to a 5-2 win over John O'Grady's What-a-Team II quartet. Ending the night's Columbian Cannonading, the Ontimes with Mike Gallagher in the driver's seat, blanked Rich Lahey's Munsters, via a 7-0 shutout.
