The local Knights of Columbus keglers did their usual spilling of the Sterling Lanes' wood as they glided into the closing weeks of the 2000-01 season in high gear.
Sean Brady was "Top Banana," in the high scoring department, rolling a sizzling 639 set that included 221, 216 and 202 single efforts while Eddy Goodloe was fashioning a fine 610 count on games of 222 and 223. Jim Kearney's 218 and 203 loners netted him a 588 set. Tom Choinski trailed Jim, at 569 with a 210 single tossed in and Chet Strzepek's 559 total showed a 209 solo. Jack Price cranked out 202 and 205 games to post a 553, Rich Lahey had a solid 547 and John Fittipaldi chimed in with a 545, squeezing past "Knobby" Gregory, at 544. Mike Gallagher's 218 solo gave him a 542 trio as Joe O'Donnell and Paul Bergstrom did a "brother" act, at 535 - Paul rolling a 200 loner, on the way. Greg Simicich showed a 534 for his night's work, up on Ed Hackimer's 527 and a Joe Oswald 516 while John O'Grady showed a 514.
