The Island Waves, Long Island's first and only all girls' ice hockey organization, will be holding travel team tryouts for Midget (19U) and Pee

Wee (15U) teams Sept. 8 at 6:30 p.m. at Newbridge Arena in Bellmore and Sept. 9 at 10:45 a.m. at the Freeport Rec Center in Freeport.

The tryout fee is $50 + USA Hockey membership fee of $22 a year. Developmental Program Evaluation for ages eight and above will have assessments on Sept. 11 at 7:30 p.m. at the Freeport Rec Center.
