During the Floral Park American Legion's annual Flag Day ceremony, Legion members and firefighters stood at attention as used American flags were retired at the Recreation Center. Students from Class 4F and 4L presented Mayor Ann Corbett with a delightful quilt depicting scenes from Little House on the Prairie. The fourth-grade students attending Floral Park-Bellerose and John Lewis Childs Schools read Little House on the Prairie and corresponded with each other about the story and author.
