Thank you for the wonderful exposure that you gave The Fresh Air Fund in the Floral Park Dispatch by publishing our public service advertisement in 2003. Your generosity provides a tremendous boost to the fund's efforts to recruit volunteer host families in your community. This summer, the fund served thousands of New York City children from low-income neighborhoods by providing free summer vacations with volunteer host families in 13 northeastern states and Canada.

Through the fund's Friendly Town program, inner-city youngsters experienced the simple joys of suburban and country life this summer. Many Fresh Air children renewed old friendships while others looked forward to the opportunity of vacationing outside New York City for the first time.
