On Saturday, June 26, at 1:30 p.m., Floral Park Memorial High School held its 47th annual commencement ceremony, where members of the Class of 2004 were awarded their diplomas.

Accompanied by a colorful Gold Rope comprised of members of the junior class, Dr. George Goldstein, superintendent of the Sewanhaka Central High School District, and Gloria O'Connor, Floral Park Memorial High School principal, honored guests and members of the Class of 2004.

Those addressing the graduates included Dr. Goldstein and Kaitlin Baggott, Class of 2004 valedictorian. A lively musical program entertained and the Floral Park and Central administrators, as well as Sewanhaka Central board members, presented several distinguished awards.

Jillian Daleo (president), Dewayne Grayson (vice president), Elizabeth Habart (treasurer), Jasmin Davis (secretary) and Terrell Amparado (historian) served as the senior class board. Barbara Babowal and Jack Graziano served as this year's Class of 2004 advisors.

Kaitlin Baggott served as the valedictorian and Sara Cerrone served as this year's salutatorian. Commencement scholars included Jenny Adolfson, Kaitlin Baggott, Kathleen Balzac, Christine Centola, Sara Cerrone, Lauren Ciccarello, Megan Ciccarello, Allison Felicetti, Li-ping Donna Fu, Lauren Kiss, Kathleen Kreiser, Michael LoPresti, David Luhr, Karen Modica, Maryrose Pichkur, Laura Raposo, Eric Schafler, Zunaira Sharief, Gianne Sultana and Alison Valdner.

A reception for graduates and their families, friends and distinguished guests immediately followed the commencement ceremony.
