At the regular Oct. 19 meeting of the North Hempstead Town Board, Supervisor Jon Kaiman presented his first Tentative Budget. The normal procedure is for the Tentative Budget to become the Preliminary Budget. This budget goes before the board and the public and, once adopted, becomes the Town Budget. A hearing on the Preliminary Budget will take place on Thursday, Nov. 4 at a board meeting, at which the board and members of the public may comment.
