On July 14, the Floral Park Auxiliary of the Association for the Help of Retarded Children held its annual Robert McVeigh swim-a-thon at the Floral Park Pool.

We want to thank all of our swimmers, mostly our young people, in our town for swimming and for raising funds, which they collected from their sponsors. We would also like to thank all those who contributed to the swim-a-thon, thus making this one of our most successful years.

Our deepest appreciation goes to everyone on the staff at the Floral Park Pool, whose cooperation made our job pleasant and thus added to our success. We would also like to thank the family of Robert McVeigh for its generous support and for the beautiful T-shirts and gift basket, which they donated in celebration of the 25th year since Bob McVeigh served as pool director and started the AHRC swim-a-thon.

We would also like to thank our dedicated workers, the Floral Park AHRC, who donate their time year after year.
