Six Years Later, It Still Hurts
On Sunday, Sept. 9, just two days before the sixth anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, a $2 million memorial - the largest in the nation to date - was unveiled to honor the 344 Nassau County residents who lost their lives. The unveiling ceremony was held at Eisenhower Park's Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre, across from the memorial.

Craig Johnson Recaps His Senatorial Debut
Exactly seventh months after voters elected Craig Johnson to serve as their 7th District senator, he took time out to visit with Anton Newspapers editors on Sept. 6. The Port Washington resident recapped the accomplishments of his senatorial debut and fielded questions from editors. "I love this job," he said. "I love representing residents. There's a different problem every hour or every few minutes ..."
