Daniel P. Kelly of Hampton Bays and Floral Park died on Feb. 3. Beloved husband of Carol. Loving father of Jacqueline (Louie), Daniel, Meredith (Tom). Dear brother of Michael, Margaret, Ann, Patricia, Mary Ellen, John, Patrick and the late Joseph. Cherished grandfather of Annamaria, Saverio, Marisa, Robert, Thomas and Matthew. Kelly is survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation was held at Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Home in Floral Park. A funeral mass was held at St. Boniface RC Church on Feb. 10 and cremation at Fresh Pond Crematory.
John J. Bennett, 79, of Westhampton Beach, NY, passed away on Feb. 11. Bennett was the beloved husband of the late Hannah (Joan) and loving father of Sean Bennett. A Navy veteran and 30-year resident of Floral Park. Bennett worked at Consolidated Edison for 42 years and enjoyed fishing and old Western movies. In addition to his son, Sean, Bennett is survived by his daughter-in-law, Constance; his grandchildren, Harrison and Georgia; his sister, Mary and his brothers Arthur and William. He is predeceased by his brother, Thomas. Visitation was held on Feb. 14 at Follett & Werner Funeral Home in Westhampton Beach. Funeral mass was held on Feb. 15 at The Church of the Immaculate Conception in Westhampton Beach. Internment was held at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Cutchogue.
Ruth Martin Heidtmann, 97, of Southold, died peacefully in her home on Jan. 13.
She was born Oct. 12, 1916, in Brooklyn to John and Minnie Martin. When Ruth was five, the family moved to Floral Park where she attended John Lewis Childs Elementary School and Sewanhaka High School. She worked for J.C.Penney in New York City until her marriage to Henry G. Heidtmann in 1935.
Together they raised four children and were members of Floral Park United Methodist Church, Brookville Country Club, Garden City Country Club and Ruth was a lifelong member of the Floral Park Chapter #726 Order of the Eastern Star.
Theresa H. Moscato, 89, originally from Brooklyn, died on Dec. 11. Funeral mass was held on Dec. 16 at St. Gregory The Great R.C. Church with interment at Calverton National Cemetery. Mary Mottola, 102, of Floral Park, died on Dec. 19. She was born in Naples, Italy on Sept. 11, 1911. Funeral mass was held on Dec. 23 at Our Lady Of Victory R. C. Church with interment at Mt. William A. Keenan, 66, of Floral Park, died on Dec. 21. Funeral services were held on Dec. 24 at Our Lady Of Victory R. C. Church. Interment at Long Island National Cemetery, Pinelawn.

Michael Francis Condon, 78, died on Dec. 31. Beloved husband of Patricia (nee McQuade). Cherished grandfather of Bryan, Lauren, Michael, Matthew, Christopher, Timothy, Christina, Jimmy, Robert, Colleen, Joseph, Nicholas, Keith, Daniella, Christopher, John Patrick and Julia. Loving brother of the late Msgr. John Condon and Lawrence. Dear brother-in-law of Marion, Eddie, Joan and the late Carl. Loving uncle and loyal friend to many. Former vice president of manufacturers Hanover Trust; active parishioner, lector and Eucharistic minister of Notre Dame Parish; lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus and an active member of AARP and the Leisure Club of NHP. Funeral mass was held on Jan. 4 at Notre Dame R.C. Church in New Hyde Park. Interment at Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, in Flushing. In lieu of flowers, donations to Notre Dame Outreach.
Robert “Bob” Valli died May 30, at his home in New Hyde Park, after a three-year battle with brain cancer. He was 76. Valli was the consummate gentlemen, an accomplished businessman and enthusiastic volunteer. He will be remembered by family and friends as an avid golfer, fitness enthusiast, tri-athlete, sailor, and most of all a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend.
After a lengthy illness, Ex-Chief G. Michael Godfrey of the South Floral Park Fire Department passed on July 12. Ex-Chief Godfrey was a volunteer firefighter for over 35 years, of which seven of those years he served as chief.
