Doctors Rally for Tort Reform
"We need tort reform and we need it now," Nassau County Medical Society President Dr. Vincent Geraci shouted from a microphone during a rally at Eisenhower Park May 20. "For too long, medicine has been burdened with the specter of malpractice. For too long, society has been deceived by this broken system. For too long has a small segment of the legal profession lined their pockets at the expense of those who suffer unfortunate outcomes."

Forum This Thursday on P-Zone District
Working through the Property Owners' Associations (POAs) and the Chamber of Commerce, the village board's P-Zone Committee has invited residents and interested parties to attend a forum for a discussion by the village's planning consultant and special legal counsel on their recommendations with regard to rezoning the Public "P" Zone within the village.

That same year Garden City and Manhasset would partake in a high school lacrosse game, the beginning of what has become one of the country's oldest lacrosse rivalries and traditions.

The Garden City Recreation Department will be conducting a youth soccer camp for boys and girls who are residents of the Inc. Village of Garden City during the weeks of Aug. 4 through 7, and Aug. 11 through 14, at Community Park (behind the pool).
