Best known for her work with the aforementioned Emil Stucchio, Teresa McClean will be digging into a diva-heavy setlist that includes songs from the canons of Dinah Washington, Connie Francis, Sarah Vaughn, Dusty Springfield, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Linda Ronstadt and Gloria Estefan.
On Saturday, July 20 at 7:30 p.m, North Hempstead Supervisor Jon Kaiman and the Town Board present this free concert featuring the Cast of Beatlemania. This band seamlessly recreates the sights and sounds of The Beatles while sporting different costumes that coincide with the changing music and times. This band was individually selected from thousands of musicians who auditioned from all over the U.S. for the Broadway show Beatlemania. The show is being held at New Hyde Park’s Michael J. Tully Stadium Field at 1801 Evergreen Ave.
Doo-wop fans will want to get here early for this show as Del Satins founding member Stan Zizka will be leading his crew through a slew of singles including “I’ll Pray for You,” “I Remember the Night,” “Teardrops Follow You” and Dion’s “Runaround Sue,” for which the group provided harmonies on the original recording.
Yet another vintage doo-wop act, The Clusters were founded in 1957 and later racked up a number of hits including “Darling Can’t You Tell,” “Pardon My Heart” and “Forecast of Our Love.”
The Summer Gazebo Concert Series ends with a flourish as this popular local orchestra will be regaling attendees with selections by the Gershwins, Cole Porter, Duke Ellington and John Philip Sousa.

Franklin Hospital’s cancer support group meets in the former coffee shop at North Shore LIJ Franklin Hospital in Valley Stream. (Please note the new location for 2013.) The group regularly meets the first Monday of every month from 2 to 4 p.m. It is open to all cancer survivors, including family members and is ideal for people who need someone to talk to about the illness. The Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer program is offering new support groups. There is no cost for any group; however pre-registration is required. Additional groups are formed upon request, including groups for men with breast cancer and family members. All groups meet at Adelphi University School of Social Work in Garden City.
