The Garden City Chamber of Commerce and the Albanese Organization, Inc. cordially invite members of both the Garden City business and residential communities to attend a special reception to welcome Ralph V. Suozzi, Garden City’s new village administrator. The reception will be held on Tuesday evening, July 22 at the Revel Restaurant and Bar, 825 Franklin Ave., from 6 to 8 p.m.
Ralph Suozzi began his new role as village administrator this past March 31 after having served several terms as mayor of Glen Cove. He has been acknowledged for his experience in all the various facets of municipal governmental operations. Suozzi has noted that Garden City and Glen Cove are similar in size in terms of populations and geographic areas. “Garden City has a ‘robust’ business district and proximity to a lot of good dynamics that favor Garden City.”
Currently, Ralph Suozzi has initiated and is overseeing a new program in partnership with Adelphi University to have interns come to the village to assist with administrative duties throughout the summer. He notes that these interns will gain real world experience from a governmental perspective which will complement their education and training in the private sector.
The chamber and the Albanese Organization look forward to welcoming Ralph Suozzi to Garden City at this special reception. Advance reservations are required at $25 per person ($35 for non-chamber members.) To reserve, please call the Garden City Chamber of Commerce at 516-746-7724, Ext. 102. Credit cards will be accepted by telephone.
