Welcome and L'Shana Tova to Solomon Schechter School
Several hundred children and adults dancing with Torahs, blowing shofars trumpeting Rosh Hashanah, (the Jewish New Year), affixing mezuzot to all door entrances, singing songs, and reading appropriate liturgical verses marked the dedication of the new middle and high school facility of Solomon Schechter Day and High School of Long Island.

The Glen Cove Pony team (11-12-year-olds) lost their first game of the season to Bethpage by the score of 19-7. Glen Cove played tough despite losing their two co-captains, Hampton and Figuero, for most of the game because of injury.
