On May 21, Mr. Tito, who has numerous relatives in Glen Cove and neighboring communities, came to Glen Cove City Hall for the red carpet treatment and the key to the city. Just a couple of weeks after Mr. Tito blasted off from Kazakhstan with two cosmonauts aboard the Russian space capsule, Soyuz, headed for Space Station Alpha, he found himself in the warm embraces of family members and well-wishers. On Monday, May 21, the North Shore School Board held a special meeting to allow an open discussion with the community concerning the Comprehensive School Safety Plan (SAVE). How better to describe this intrepid band of 12 athletes who have forged a 13-5 regular season record and were victorious in their playoff encounter. Perhaps the world "versatile" would fill out the picture, because their ability to cover two and three positions came to the fore when confronted with their team mates unavailability due to injury, etcetera, etcetera.
