Good News for Senior Taxpayers at Cove Council Meeting
Prior to the Glen Cove City Council meeting of Tuesday, Jan. 14, Mayor Mary Ann Holzkamp presented citations to members of the Glen Cove Beautification Commission and Glen Cove CARES in recognition of the partnership the two organizations formed which has resulted in the profusion of pink tulips blooming citywide come each spring.

Henderson to Succeed Reilly as GC Republican Leader
After serving as leader of the Glen Cove Republican Committee for the past 25 years, Joseph Reilly recently submitted his resignation, citing his wish to spend more time with his wife and family. He will be succeeded by attorney Tip Henderson.

Big Red Wrestlers Pin Holiday Tourney -- The fifth annual Glen Cove Holiday Wrestling Tournament was a big success for the varsity and JV wrestling squads. The wrestling team would like to thank the Glen Cove High School Booster Club and all of the staff of Glen Cove High who worked hard to continue making this event one of the highlights of the high school sports calendar.

The for the girls track team has begun quite well, starting with several top performances at the Nassau Coaches Invitational at the Armory Track and Field Center. The freshman 4x200 relay and 4x400 relays both ran the fastest times in Nassau County on the freshman level.
