Waterfront, City Budget Topics at City Council Meeting
At the Glen Cove City Council meeting of March 11, it was ordained that Midge Street and Maryland Avenue in the Landing area of the city be changed to one way streets. The mayor had a petition from residents and a letter from GCPO Toldo stating that making the streets one way should help to alleviate traffic problems.

Hall Of Fame to Honor 1986 State Championship Baseball Team
On Thursday, April 3, the Glen Cove Hall of Fame committee will honor the members of the 1986 Glen Cove High School varsity baseball team that captured the New York State championship. The honorees will be regaled at the Glen Cove Hall of Fame's 14th Induction Dinner at the Swan Club in Glenwood Landing, beginning at 7 p.m.

GC Comanchees Head North to Alaska
This year will mark the Comanchees' final year of playing baseball together, ending a history that began nine years ago. It is quite an accomplishment that the core of the team is still together. Most of the team members are 18 years old, graduating from high school and going on to college. The coaches and staff would very much like this final year together to be one replete with memories which will stay with the boys through their lives.
