Moody's Announces Glen Cove Bond Listing as A3
Moody's Investment Service has reported a downgrade of Glen Cove's bond rating from A2 to A3, still keeping the rating in the category Moody's considers as "high grade bonds." While Moody's states that the city has had a sharp decline in reserve financial flexibility, the city projects elimination of deficits by the end of fiscal 2003.

The Riverdogs concluded the season with promising results. William Schneider and Devin Best turned in great hitting performances. Elijah Robinson (aka Junior Derek Jeter) turned in an MVP season. Austin Caldwell showed great improvement over the season and Devin Shearer used his speed and determination to reach base safely everytime...Ian Roughen, Chris Pedomo, David Rogers, Joey Marriot and Liam Cox had great slugging hits in the GC Gazette Raptors game vs. The Zavaro Rattlers...The Fairview Station Muckdogs had a great game vs. The Old Brookville PT Riverdogs as their offense was led by Chris Palmieri, Anthony Mariana, Michael Floccari, Blake Woods and Kyle Muzante.

Warriors Win Waldbaums Cup
The Glen Cove Warriors boys travel soccer team took on the undefeated Hauppauge Blue Lightning in the early morning mist and fog at Stonybrook University on Saturday. The Warriors didn't let any lightning bolts strike, but threw many a bolt themselves. With an 8-2 lead, the Warriors stopped the Lightning, cleared the mist and fog and brought sunshine and smiles of victory to parents, fans and themselves. The win was a total team effort. The head coach is Marty Katz and the coach is Louis Saviano.
