SC Residents Voice Concerns Over Cell Tower and Village Garage
Monday night's meeting of the Sea Cliff Village Board proved quite eventful and lengthy with village residents making a strong showing on a rainy Monday evening to put forth their concerns over the proposed village garage modifications, construction of a cell phone tower, and raccoon problem to the board.

Tips on Preparing for Hurricane Isabel
Mayor Mary Ann Holzkamp advises residents to start making an emergency plan since it is apparent that the unpredictable Hurricane Isabel will have an impact on Glen Cove. Mayor Holzkamp said, "It is important to remain calm and stay indoors during the storm. Make sure to have a communication plan in place with the members of your family if you are not going to be together during the storm. Make sure you have emergency supplies such as canned food and bottled water, a battery operated or manual can opener, flashlights and extra batteries, portable battery operated radios, all your essential medicines, a first aid kit, cash and credit cards."

Glen Cove High School Big Red Sports
The 2003 girls JV tennis team opened its season against Oceanside on Friday, September 12, posting its first dominant win of the season. Team captains are Alexis Balincongan and Dianna Belifore and they lead a 20 player roster, all of whom had an opportunity to play in the match. The team has 10 matches this season and members look forward to improving their skills. In addition, the team has in-team challenges that allow members to play each other, on varied skill levels. The next home match is Wednesday, September 24 at 4:30 vs. Garden City. Come down and cheer on the team.

North Shore High School Vikings Sports
The Vikings opened the season with a solid win over Clarke on Monday, Sept. 8. Adrienne Koslow scored in the first three minutes and added a second goal on a penalty stroke to bring the lead to 2-0. Ashley Lopez and Callie Breen played well and added a goal each, bringing the final score to 4-0, North Shore. Blair Clancy, Samantha Treiber, Krista Hoffman and goalie Danielle Uanino played great defense.
