Budget Talks Begin at Glen Cove BOE Meeting
At the Glen Cove Board of Education meeting of Wednesday, Feb. 16, Assistant Superintendent for Business Kevin Wurtz gave the first in a series of presentations on the school budget for the school year 2005-2006.

Grand Jury Indictment in Glen Head Murder Case
On Tuesday, March 1, Nassau County District Attorney Denis Dillon announced that a Grand Jury has indicted Christopher Dimeo, 23 and Nicole Pearce, 23, both of Richmond Hill, and Maryann Taylor of Hicksville in connection with the Dec. 21, 2004 robbery and murder of Thomas Renison at J&J Jewels in Glen Head.

North Shore High School Sports
This is an exciting time of the year as the Qualifier comes up. If a wrestler finishes in their respected weight class, they qualify to go to the counties at Nassau Community College. North Shore had 10 qualifiers: freshman Glen Gerbush (3rd), Peter Blackburn (1st) Eric Gruebel (1st), Michael Treco (1st); sophomore Tom Boehm (2nd); juniors Brett Schneider (2nd), Zack Ziskin (1st); and seniors Matt Schmiemann (2nd), Matt Kaplon (2nd) and Dan Carleton (1st). Peter Griffiths, a first year wrestler, took 4th. Peter is in 9th grade. Stephen Didamo, also a 9th grader, took 4th as well. We had a great group of freshmen that contributed greatly to the team!

Registration for Lacrosse Clinic at NSB&G Club
The program will begin on Saturday, April 2 and run through Saturday, June 11. The time for each session will be 4 p.m. to 5:15 p.m
