The future of Glen Cove's children is in your hands. Please vote on May 17 for the school budget. All of us students need your help; the class sizes of the schools in Glen Cove are getting bigger because we have lost 10 teachers this past year. The high school also lost two administrators. Currently there are no coordinators for either the guidance or the math departments. The sports teams are not going to scrimmage games because there is no money to pay for buses.
Glen Cove Schools need to be able to compete both athletically and academically with other schools. As high school seniors who are graduating in June, we still believe the budget needs to be passed so our younger brothers, sisters, friends and fellow students can get as good an education as we did. The community as a whole benefits from a good school district. We need the community's support. The reality is that Glen Cove is a good community where our kids can safely grow and become people who will contribute to the wealth of this country. Let's make Glen Cove better, starting with our schools, by providing the kids with new technology, science, equipment, enough textbooks for everyone, and letting them compete in sports with other schools. Vote for the school budget because everyone's vote counts. Please vote for kids on May 17.
