Barbara J. Talton (nee O'Toole), resident of N. Fort Myers, FL, formerly of Locust Valley, passed away on Aug. 9, 2005. She was born on Sept. 9, 1936 in Glen Cove to James and Geraldine O'Toole. Our beloved mother is survived by her four children, Nancy (Willie) Sawyer of Glen Cove, James (Trish) Talton of Baldwin, Lee Talton of Woodside and Jayne Talton of N. Fort Myers. Also survived by her former spouse Clayton Talton of Troupsburg, NY; her brothers, Dr. Brian J. (Virginia) O'Toole of Yardley, PA, Michael J. (Jean) O'Toole of Dennis, MA, and sister Kathleen P. (Wayne) Shaddock of Cape Coral, FL; her aunt Evelyn Griffin of Sea Cliff; her five grandchildren, Lauren, Deanna, Viola, Justine and Kendra; and many cousins, nieces and nephews; her friend and pet Nee Hee along with her other feline friends Miss Kitty and Milo. Mom was a mother, daughter, sister, wife and friend who will be forever missed.

A Funeral Mass will be held Sept. 10 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Boniface RC Church in Sea Cliff. A reception and greeting of family members will immediately follow the service. All friends are welcome to attend. The family would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses at Southwest Florida Regional Medical Center, Emergency Room and CMICU for their care. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Barbara Talton's honor to the Animal Refuge Center, PO Box 6642, Fort Myers, FL 33911. Please include return address with memorial.

Steven Roman, of North Merrick, formerly of Glen Cove, died at age 31 on Aug. 24, 2005. Father of Steven, Carlos and Justin. Beloved son of Sandra (Jack) Ardolini. Devoted fiance of Molly Rizzati. Loving brother of Jason and the late Carlos. Dear grandson of Raymond and Carmen Castro. Nephew of Elsie and Bill Mackey. Arrangements were made by the McLaughlin Kramer Megiel Funeral Home, Glen Cove. Religious service held at the funeral home. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery.
