Tennis 2005: new season, new players, new expectations! The season is in full swing and the girls tennis team is on its way. With some returning players, this year's team is very competitive. Captains Katherine Dolecki and Tara Napoli are great leaders. Tara is first singles, and Katherine is second. Their opponents have certainly been giving them a run for the money. Returning player junior Mariel Fredericksen is third singles and on her way to all-conference. This year's newer players include Jamie Carlson and Danielle Silas in first doubles, Jackie Szlakowicz and Alyssa Oh at second doubles, Sara Graziosi and Reena Walia at third singles and Alyssa Farber, Harleen Walia, Victoria Beisler, Amber Becktold and Natasha Gregorio rotating at fourth doubles. Dianna Belifore returns this week from a serious bout with mononucleosis. The team welcomes her back.

There is still plenty of season ahead and lots of work to do to match last year's great season. With sunshiny weather and cooler temperatures, coaches are optimistic that the girls will finish strong.
