Over 35 schools from Nassau County ran in the Nassau Coaches Invitational which is the inaugural meet of the season. Virtually every North Shore athlete came home with a medal, which means they placed in the top 6 of their respective events. The evening led off with the sophomore 4x400 relay consisting of Anais Katz, Jen Dileo, Christine Goodman and Debbie Gilbert placing first. Other first place relays were the Distance Medley Relay consisting of Brianna Welch, Angela Shih, Kirsten Oertle, and newcomer Laura Cvikevich, who also ran to victory. The frosh/soph 4x800 relay consisted of Jen Dileo, Debbie Gilbert, Laura Cvikevich and Brianna Welch. Overall, it was a tremendous evening as the team has grown in size to almost 50 strong. The team looks to continue its tremendous efforts at a Cross-over meet in a few weeks. See you then!
