DEC Cites Glen Cove for Environmental Excellence
Mayor Mary Ann Holzkamp is pleased to announce that the City of Glen Cove earned yet another prestigious award from the State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC). "Our city is being recognized by the DEC for unprecedented nitrogen discharge reductions at the municipal wastewater treatment plant. Our design team, Cameron Engineering, and consultant, CDM, assisted us in accomplishing our goal within the existing infrastructure," said Mayor Holzkamp.

Junior Football Scores Honors at GC City Council
It was standing room only once again at the Glen Cove City Council meeting when the council convened on Tuesday, Dec. 13. The atmosphere and attendees were quite different this time, however. The council chamber was filled with boys in football uniforms and very high spirits. Members of the Midget Red team, the Pee Wee Red team and the Peanut team were there to receive kudos, certificates and trophies for exceptional seasons.

Glen Cove High School Recognizes Fall Athletes
The Glen Cove School District honored its fall season athletes during an awards ceremony hosted by the Glen Cove High School Booster Club. Athletes, parents, coaches and district administrators gathered in the school's auditorium to recognize the athletes for their sportsmanship, leadership, and success.
