He was past commodore of Hempstead Harbor Club, an avid sailor, mechanical genius and master carpenter. He was a Korean War veteran. He was manager of the repair division of Varsity School Bus Co. and a marine carpenter for Seaman Yacht Services, Larger Yacht Service, and Manhasset Bay Ship Yard. Husband of the late Nan. He was a 61-year member of Sea Cliff Fire Department. Willy also served as president of the 5th Battalion Chiefs Organization as well as president of the North Shore Fire Council and was a recipient of the Village of Sea Cliff White Cap Award.
