Dieter Erlwein, of Syosset, passed away on March 6, 2007 at the age of 53. Husband of Karen (nee Rich). Son of Karin Smith and son-in-law of Mary Ann Rich. Father of Michael (Christine) and Jennifer (Andy). Brother of Angelika (John), Marion (Dave), Monika (Wes) and brother-in-law of Robert (Alejandra) and Pamela (Bobby). Grandfather of Donovan, Connor, Isabelle and Meagan. Uncle of Jillian, Dawson and Gavin, and godfather of Ana Carolina Rich. Richard G. Willemsen died on March 2, 2007. He was born on July 7, 1929. He grew up in Whitestone and was a longtime resident of Sea Cliff. He was past commodore of Hempstead Harbor Club, an avid sailor, mechanical genius and master carpenter. He was a Korean War veteran. He was manager of the repair division of Varsity School Bus Co. and a marine carpenter for Seaman Yacht Services, Larger Yacht Service, and Manhasset Bay Ship Yard. Husband of the late Nan. Father of Sally Freedlander (Ken). Grandfather of Ben Freedlander. Brother of Marian Long (Jack). He is also survived by nephews Jeff and Brian Long, brother-in-law Robert Streng and countless friends, all of whom will cherish and hold his memory dear. Arrangements were made by the Whitting Funeral Home, Glen Head. Interment private.

Willet A. Tilley, of Sea Cliff, died on March 3, 2007. He was a 61-year member of Sea Cliff Fire Department. Willy served SCFD as 1st and 2nd lieutenant and captain of the Engine and Hose Co., secretary, treasurer, warden chief of the department, and twice as well as fireman of the year twice. Willy also served as president of the 5th Battalion Chiefs Organization as well as president of the North Shore Fire Council and was a recipient of the Village of Sea Cliff White Cap Award. Husband of Anastasia. Brother of Charles Tilley. Uncle of Karin Keel, Steven Tilley, Jimmy Tilley, Michael Tilley; great-uncle of Danielle and Steven Keel; and great-great-uncle of Baz. Stanislaus (Klaus) (Poppy) Jania, formerly of Glen Cove, passed away suddenly on March 4, 2007. He is survived by daughters, Wanda (Thompson) Burling (Charles), Deana Bennett (David); six grandsons: Elia Filippone, Daniel Filippone, Jamie Womack, Nicholas Filippone, Justin Womack and Kevin Jania; predeceased by sons, Steven Klaus Jania and Stanley Kevin Jania. Klaus was retired from Roslyn Public School District. He loved the sport of soccer and was a longtime standing member of the Glen Cove Men's Soccer League. Arrangements were made by the William J.
