Congratulations are in order for Glen Cove High School senior Kelley Cunningham who has signed her National Letter of Intent to play Division II Lacrosse at Pfeiffer University in North Carolina next fall. In addition to playing for the Big Red, Kelley has spent the past three years playing for Liberty Lacrosse, an elite Long Island team that competes year-round in tournaments along the eastern seaboard. Kelley, who has said, "Lacrosse is my life," is excited to share her passion this spring as she helps teach the game to younger girls in the Glen Cove Junior Lacrosse program. As her coach, Jacquie Gow stated she has always found Kelley to play with desire and determination, striving to be the best player possible. Ms. Gow added, "Kelly has certainly proved to be a dominant field player and a delight to coach."

When at Pfeiffer, Kelley plans on pursuing a degree in special education with a minor in music. According to Kelley this will allow her to participate in the best of all worlds, as music is Kelley's other passion. She is a section leader in the Glen Cove Select Chorale, an officer of Tri-M (the National Music Honor Society) and an All-County vocalist. Kelly's supporters at Glen Cove High School, along with the entire community, wish her great success.
