This week the men's bowling team faced matchups against Carle Place and Sewanhaka in a position round. The Vikings ended the week 1 and 1, with an overall season record of 4 - 2. The team had no trouble knocking off Carle Place but was defeated by Sewanhaka later in the week. Both the varsity and the junior varsity sit in second place with more than half the season still to come. Great bowling this week from Taylor Ross, Austin Simpson and Kenny Zukas.
On Wednesday Dec.17 the varsity women's bowling team's opponent was Carle Place High School. Even though the North Shore varsity women bowled well, they came up short losing to this strong team. Brittany Cullum, Lexi Marshal, Megan Silka and Danielle Zaleskie played for the varsity squad. Lexi paced the team with a 415 series.
Thursday's match was a position round. The varsity team bowled against Carle Place while the JV squad bowled against Mineola. The varsity team of Brittany, Danielle, Lexi and Megan avenged Wednesday's loss by winning 2 out of 3 matches. Brittany paced the team with a 417 series while Megan's 168 in her third game enabled her to finish with a 411 series.
