The deadline for board of education candidates to submit their petitions was close-of-business on Wednesday, April 29. At the time of this printing, four candidates had officially filed, who will be vying for only three open trustee positions.

These candidates are David Huggins, Richard Maccarone, Zefy Christopoulos and incumbent Gail Nedbor-Gross.

Current Board of Education President Kurt Schmeller and Trustee Doug Brown will not be running again.

The election will be held on May 19, at the same time as the budget vote and the newly announced bond vote.
