7 p.m. - The Sea Cliff-Glen Head Lions presents Sea Cliff’s “Winter Wonderland White Night,” a benefit for The Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind, to be held at The Metropolitan Bistro at 39 Roslyn Avenue in Sea Cliff. The event will feature guest bartender Ed “Fast Eddie” Lieberman and live music by Kris Rice. All are encouraged to wear your best whites. There is no cover charge and no drink minimum for the event.
The North Shore Schools Board of Education will hold a Town Meeting on in the Sea Cliff School Theatre at 8 p.m. At this special meeting, an update will be given on the ramp-down of the Long Island Power Authority’s (LIPA) facility in Glenwood Landing. Residents will have an opportunity to ask questions regarding LIPA. The agenda will include: a timeline of events, proposed bills in Albany, and how the community can get involved.
9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. - The Gold Coast Lions Club is continuing its series of Defensive Driving classes in Sea Cliff Village Hall, 300 Sea Cliff Avenue. The cost is $40 per person. Make checks payable to Gold Coast Lions Club and send to P.O. Box 25, Sea Cliff, NY 11579-0025. Upcoming class dates are March 9, April 13, May 11 and June 8.
