The Sea Cliff Good of the Village Association will hold its 8th annual Antique Show on Saturday, Sept. 7, from 9 a.m. To 4 p.m. at the St. Boniface Field on Sea Cliff Ave.
Attend the defensive driving course for insurance and point reduction to learn the techniques of safe driving. It is also a fundraiser for St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, 235 Glen Street, Glen Cove. The course will go from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and includes a lunch break). St. John’s 61st Annual Fall fair will be on Saturday, Sept. 7, rain or shine, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a special preview at 9 a.m. for those who wish to have a first opportunity to purchase at the many booths. There will be circus themed entertainment and a petting zoo, as well as the annual exciting events such as the drum circle, the Gordon Highlanders Bagpipe parade, and lots of good old fashioned family fun.
Booths, which are organized by volunteer parishioners, include, books, sporting goods, antiques and collectibles, jewelry, furniture, children’s clothes and toys, Christmas items, plants, a silent auction, face painting, bouncy rides and games for the children. Hamburgers and hot dogs are served from noon until 4 p.m.
Admission is $5 per person, free to children under 12 and the special 9 a.m. preview is $20 per person.

All are welcome to attend this 5th annual event presented by Martino Auto Concepts of Glen Cove. Each year thousands of spectators line the streets to spend the afternoon viewing hundreds of exotic cars and BMWs. The Glen Cove downtown will be the location for this fabulous event, there will be music, entertainment and prizes. Proceeds will go toward the cure-focused work of the Diabetes Research Institute. The 28th Annual International Coastal Cleanup, sponsored by the American Littoral Society and the Friends of Garvies Point Museum and Preserve, will take place on Saturday, Sept. 14 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Volunteers of all ages will meet at Garvies Point Museum and Preserve located at 50 Barry Drive, Glen Cove, to clean up Garvies shoreline as participants in the International Coastal Cleanup sponsored by the American Littoral Society and the Friends of Garvies Point Museum and Preserve.
The deadline for “Sea Cliff in Bloom” photo submissions is Sept. 15. Enter your masterful photos of Sea Cliff’s lovely landscapes, shrubs and flowers in the fall exhibition sponsored by Sea Cliff Beautification Committee. The exhibition will be held at the Metropolitan Bistro, Roslyn Avenue, Sea Cliff, at the committee’s fall luncheon. Photos can be color or black and white, 8x10 or 11x14 matted. This year’s second STOP (Stop Throwing Out Pollutants) Program will be held on Saturday, Sept. 21 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Rain date Sept. 28) at the Winters Brothers facility located at the end of Morris Avenue in Glen Cove.
The Sea Cliff Silly Shakespeare Company will present The Real Housewives Of Henry The Eighth, a performance to celebrate the end of the summer, just in time for the fall equinox, on Saturday Sept. 21 at 6 p.m. at the Sea Cliff Beach Arts Pavilion (rain date Sunday, Sept. 22, at 5 p.m.).
The Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club will host a clothing and accessories sale on Friday, Sept. 27, from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 28, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The club is currently accepting donations of clothing and accessories.
