North Shore School District will hold its annual Celebration of Student Work honoring its students’ academic, artistic, athletic and co-curricular accomplishments.
“It is so important to celebrate the vitality, dynamism, creativity and joy our students bring to their schools every day,” said Greg Perles, teacher union vice president. “Amidst all of the testing pressures exerted on kids today, we have to remember to see and celebrate the whole child.”
The Celebration applauds the achievements of students in all five North Shore Schools on Tuesday, May 21, in the NS High School cafeteria from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Parents and residents are invited to walk around the cafeteria and admire the large array of student work, listen to live performances, and watch a number of multimedia presentations projected on big screens. In the gallery of work, student guides will lead their guests around the displays.
“The teachers, secretaries and TAs who work and live here are proud to put their time and resources into this annual exhibit,” Perles added.
“The student work makes it clear that this district has remarkable kids, wonderful families, strong communities, talented educators and vibrant schools staffed by superb professionals.”
