More than 150 members from GMA Martial Arts, located at 275 Glen St., gathered next door at St. Patrick’s Church to celebrate the hard work and dedication put in by young martial artists over the last few months.
The graduating class demonstrated a variety of karate techniques with both power and precision. In addition to technical knowledge, the students were required to show improvement in their behavior at home, focus in school, and overall physical fitness.
The ceremony culminated with iLoveKickboxing.com instructors, Karina Morales and Danny “the Scorpion” Colon leading an exciting kickboxing demonstration. Among those present for the workout was iLoveKickboxing.com’s spokesmodel, Dani Dee.
“We sincerely appreciate the good relationship we have with St. Patrick’s Church and once again extend our thanks to Deacon Dom Gabriel for facilitating the use of the church’s cafeteria,” remarked Sensei Hender Alvarado, owner of GMA Karate & Kickboxing. The next graduation is scheduled for September.
