North Shore Schools BOE Elects New President and Vice President

At the annual North Shore Schools Board of Education re-organizational meeting, board members elected Dr. Igor Webb, Ph.D. as president and Carolyn Mazzu Genovesi, Esq. as vice president. Additionally, Dr. Herman A. Berliner, Ph.D., the newly elected member of the board, was sworn in at an earlier session by District Clerk Betty Ciampi. They are joined by Trustees Amy Beyer, Mary Kolkhorst, George Pombar and Anna Sharkey.

At this meeting on July 1, Superintendent Dr. Edward Melnick discussed that the Ninth Grade Experience (NGE) was scheduled to begin in September 2009 and the New York State Test dates were being reviewed and revised causing a slight delay in the publication of the 2009-10 North Shore Schools Calendar and Directory.
