Paul Meli has announced his candidacy for the office of mayor of the City of Glen Cove in this November’s election. Mr. Meli, an attorney, will be joined in his run by Glen Cove City Council candidates David Nieri, Penelope Reddan, Gerald Gardrvits, Linda Darby, James Greenberg and Pamela Panzenbeck.
“This slate represents an alliance of members of three political parties,” Mr. Meli said, “as well as one candidate with no political affiliation whatsoever. They are about as diverse, involved and talented a group of council candidates as Glen Cove has ever seen. They share a love of this community, and a dedication to make Glen Cove’s government one that is responsive, open, representative and fiscally responsible.
Mr. Meli will be introducing the council candidates at a fundraiser to be held at The Soundview Restaurant at 6 p.m. on August 19. Further information can be obtained at glencovealliance.com.
