It was a standing-room only, overflow crowd of excited friends and supporters at 149 Glen Street on Thursday, Aug. 15, as the Glen Cove Republican Committee opened its Campaign 2013 Headquarters. The Republican headquarters is the home of Team Spinello, the 2013 slate for Glen Cove Mayor and City Council. Team Spinello candidates are for
Mayor, Reggie Spinello; and for City Council: Anthony Gallo; Jr., Pamela Panzenbeck, Efraim Spagnoletti, Linda Darby, Kristina Heuser, and Charles Bozzello. It is also the political home of Glen Cove resident John DiMascio, the candidate for Nassau County Legislature to represent the newly-designated 11th District which includes Glen Cove.
Glen Cove Republican Committee Chairman Paul Meli welcomed everyone to the festivities and introduced several dignitaries including Judge Rhonda Fischer; Republican candidate for District Attorney Howard Sturim, Glen Cove Republican Committee President Charles McQuair; Judge Richard J. McCord; and John Canning, the Executive Leader of the Sea Cliff Republican Club.
In introducing the candidates, Meli said, “Glen Cove needs and deserves a mayor and city council who will be partners with our residents and business owners rather than alienate or ignore them. Glen Cove needs Team Spinello.”
Candidate for Mayor Reggie Spinello added, “I have never seen so many people at a headquarters opening! This large and enthusiastic crowd speaks volumes about the residents’ desire for new leadership and a new direction for our city. It’s time!”
