Scholarship Winner

Elizabeth Willson is this year’s recipient of the Glen Cove Chamber of Commerce Future Business Leaders Scholarship.   Willson is a fourth-generation Glen Cove resident and loves being a part of this community.  She grew up surrounded by family that was always civic-minded and involved in the community.  She is the oldest of four girls and they all attend Glen Cove public schools.  Willson plays lacrosse, volleyball and track.  She’s a member of  National Honor Society, DECA, S.A.L.T. (Student Athlete Leadership Team), Interact, ski club, and pep squad. She’s been taking dance for the past 13 years and it’s a big part of her life.  Willson will be graduating 12th in her class. Inspired by her sister adopted from Ethiopia,  Willson plans to major in International Relations/Cultural Studies. She is honored to have been selected for this scholarship and thanks the Glen Cove Chamber of Commerce.
