The SC Silly Shakespeare Company’s Un-King Lear

The Sea Cliff Silly Shakespeare Company  (SCSSC) is up to its usual un-seemly, yet un-usually user-friendly antics. Now in its eighth season, the un-couth SCSSC will present its un-conventional take on the tale of the un-wise King Lear’s descent into madness, as he is un-done by his own daughters.

Minds are sure to un-hinge, lives un-ravel, as the SCSSC un-folds this tragedy-with-a-comic-twist:  King Lear at the Olde Globe Theater. . . Redux, starring your friends and neighbors: Elizabeth Sehring, Carolyn Genovesi, Lorraine Baker, Dan DiPietro, Ken Bongort, Willis Vaughan, Al Reres, Jane Ringrose, Stephen Gronda, Phil Schiff, Sara Reres, Karin Barnaby, Roberta Fox, Jennifer Dawson, Lesley Pryde-Haley, Carol Pohrille, Ann DiPietro and Phil Essex. Bring a blanket, a picnic, your eyeballs (there will be plenty of spares to go around).  Please don’t forget your kazoos!

The SCSSC will perform King Lear at the Olde Globe Theater. . . Redux, for audiences young and old, on Saturday, July 24, at 7 p.m. at Spooky Park (Dayton Street) in Sea Cliff.  Rain date is Sunday, July 25, at 5 p.m.
