Warren J. Kotler died on May 26, 2010. He was born in Glen Cove on May 15, 1931. He graduated from Glen Cove High School, Class of 1949. He is survived by four sons, Jay, Mitch, Mark, Adam; and nine grandchildren.
Cecilio Morales, of Glen Cove, died on June 13, 2010. Husband of the late Aura. Father of Lydia, Miguel, Virginia, Gladys, Juanita, Helen, Maria. Cesar, Cecilio Jr. and the late Luis. Bernard J. “Doc” Dougherty, of Locust Valley, died on June 11, 2010 at age 85. Husband of Joan T. (nee Forbes). Predeceased by his parents, Gertrude and Leonard J. Sr. Brother of John J. and the late Leonard J. Jr. Uncle of Paul, Mark, John B. and Amanda. Great-uncle of Cierra. Mother of Lynn (Paul) Noreko, Joan (Ken) Kalenderian, Jerry (Joan) Boertzel and the late Judy (the late Eddie) McManus. Grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of 10. Andrew Meli, of Ridge, died on June 6, 2010 at age 92. He served as U.S. Navy Corpsman during WWII. Husband of Marie. Father of Salvatore (Barbara) and Paul (Jo-Ann) Dear brother of Dorothy Nowakowski, the late Rosalie Meli and the late Ann Gudewicz. Grandfather of Justin, Andrew (Jenny), Christina and Matthew. Frank Joseph Napoli
Frank Joseph Napoli, 89, of Delray Beach, FL, and formerly of Glen Cove, passed away on May 18, 2010. Frank was owner of Franks Beer and Soda in Glen Cove for over 40 years. Frank was a member of Emmanuel Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, the Lions Club, Boy Scouts of America, and served during WWII in the Air Force. He enjoyed golf and gardening. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Carmella; daughter, Gloria (Robert); son Louis; grandson Jason; granddaughter Tara (Rory); great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Kristiyana; sisters-in-law, Connie, Susan, and Alice; brothers-in-law, Danny and Michael; and many nieces and nephews and their families. Frank was predeceased by sisters, Rose and Mary. He will be loved and missed by all. Frank was buried with military honors at the South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL. Helen L. Bell, formerly of Glen Cove, died on June 3, 2010. She was a retired home economics teacher of the Great Neck School District, active member of the United Methodist Church of Sea Cliff, volunteer for the Old Bethpage Village Restoration and Silver Bay Y.M.C.A. Camp in Lake George, NY. Daughter of the late Reuel and Mildred Bell. Cousin of Robert Nunamacher, William Nunamacher and Lois Paris. A funeral service was held at the Whitting Funeral Home, Glen Head with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Hillside, NJ.
