L. Enrique Caballero
L. Enrique Caballero, formerly of Glen Cove, resident of Palm Coast, FL, died on Nov. 15, 2009 at age 90.
Husband of Lucrecia. Father of Albert (Laurent), Herman (Kim), Teresa, Gloria Thompson, George (Michelle), Frank (Rosa), Clara Beissner (Phil) and Ingrid Tovar. Also survived by 16 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Visiting and prayer service held at the Funeral Home of Dodge Thomas, Glen Cove. Mass at St. Patrick RC Church. Enrique came to this country in 1963 from Bogota, Columbia. He was a devoted husband and caring father of 8 children. He was a retired electrician and moved to Palm Coast, FL in 1992 with his wife Lucrecia. He was a wonderful role model and his family was proud of him. “Take It Easy.”

Joseph E. Klein, of Glen Cove, died on Dec. 7, 2009. Husband of the late Anita. Father of Deborah (Donald) Aquilino, Diane (Bob) Kwarta and David. Grandfather of Justine, John, Mary and Joey. Joan Lawrence, of Mill Neck and Deerfield Beach, FL, died on Dec. 6, 2009. Joan was an elementary school teacher for over 30 years at the Glenwood Landing School. Wife of Thomas Lawrence. James D. Lynch
James D. Lynch died on Dec. 5, 2009 at the age of 77, after a brief battle with cancer. Survived by his wife Theresa; children, Christina Sorrentino (Ralph), James (Jeanine), Deirdre Donahue (Stephen); and grandchildren, Isabel, Maria and Cara Sorrentino, Alanna and Justin Lynch, Aidan and Maeve Donahue. Jim served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a wonderful, loving husband, father and grandfather and a friend to all who knew him. A Funeral Mass will be held on Dec. 11 at 11 a.m. at St. Hyacinth R.C. Church in Glen Head. Inurnment will be at Arlington National Cemetery. De La Salle is a middle school dedicated to the education of academically gifted, economically disadvantaged children.

Barbara “Bobbie” McCoy (nee Nicholson), longtime resident of Cocoa Beach, FL, formerly of Glen Cove, passed away peacefully at home on Dec. 2, 2009 following a courageous battle with cancer. She was 65. Bobbie was a graduate of Glen Cove High School.
Warren I. Titus III
Warren I. Titus III, longtime resident of Sea Cliff, died suddenly on Dec. 1, 2009 at age 53 in Bay Shore. He was known to his family as “Tris”. He graduated from Fountain Valley School in Colorado in 1974 and was employed in the retail industry most of his working career. He is survived by his two children, Alexander and Elizabeth; by his parents, Warren and Valentine Titus; and by his sister Katherine; and brother David.
