Frank (Pete) Schuld III, 60, of Sioux Falls, SD, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at the Dougherty Hospice Home after a brief illness.
Pete was born July 11, 1952 on Long Island, New York to Frank P. Schuld Jr. and Marianne R. (Smith) Schuld. He was raised and educated on the Island. Pete married Kathleen Laffey in 1974. Pete and his family resided in Glen Cove for 17 years; working for The US Post Office, Glen Head, Sea Cliff Hardware, Sea Cliff and Pall Corporation, Roslyn. He was also a proud volunteer fireman with the Sea Cliff Fire Department. In 1995, Pete and his family moved to Port Orange, FL where he worked for Land-O-Lakes. In 2005, Pete moved to Sioux Falls, SD, working for the Downtown Holiday Inn.
Pete had a love and talent for fixing and restoring old furniture: turning trash into profitable treasures. He was also a successful scraper. Of all in life, Pete was proudest of his 3 children and the families they are building.
Pete will be deeply missed by his children: sons, Tim Schuld and Christian (Erin) Schuld both of Port Orange, FL, daughter, Jessica (Tony) Hamilton, Daytona Beach, F; grand-children, Brady, Abby and Georgia; his step-mother Diana K. Schuld, Glen Head, NY, four siblings; Aimee Schuld, Middletown, PA, Terry Schuld, Ridge, NY, Marianne Schuld, Sioux Falls, SD and Glenn Schuld, Manhattan, NY.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Frank P. Schuld Jr. and Marianne R. Schuld.
