John “Jack” Kinsella, born March 31, 1932 in Brooklyn, lived in Glen Cove for most of his life, died July 11, 2010 in Houston, TX. He is survived by his beloved wife Eileen Lavery Kinsella and his three children, John Kinsella (Rocio), Theresa Haaksman (Aart) and Kathy Keys (Roger); his five grandchildren, Amara Haaksman, John and Kaitlin Keys and Andy and Kelly Kinsella; his brother James Kinsella (Anna) and sister Jean Marie Darien (Edward); brothers-in-law, Terry Sucharski (Steve) and Joseph Lavery (Peggy). He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Catherine Kinsella and brother-in-law Charles Lavery.
Jack worked for the US Postal Service for 35 years and was a shop steward for the National Association of Letter Carriers Branch 6000 in Glen Cove. He was also a Glen Cove volunteer fireman. Mass was held on July 16 at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, Houston. Interment was held at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
