Letter: Support Russo-Manning And Nightingale

I am writing to urge you to vote for Marianne Russo-Manning and Michael Nightingale in the upcoming North Shore School Board election.

Having been very involved in various District Parent Organizations over the past 12 years, I have worked closely with Marianne Russo-Manning. Marianne’s commitment to the district to maintain the best education for our students while being fiscally aware and responsible is what sets her apart from the other candidates.

Marianne consistently attends Board of Education meetings and insures that she is aware of all the facts. She carefully considers economic impact, educational impact and taxpayer impact before making decisions. Marianne’s extensive volunteer experience in the district throughout the last ten years, along with her professional experience as an attorney, (with a concentration in pension law), makes her the right choice to be the next BOE Trustee. Marianne has consistently demonstrated her abilities and dedication to this community and school district.

Michael Nightingale has also dedicated much of his time to the North Shore district over the past years. Michael’s role on the LAC, (Legislative Action Committee), as well as his support of the Viking Foundation’s campaign for our schools demonstrates his commitment to maintaining our outstanding school district while upholding fiscal responsibility. Michael is very clear about his dedication to transparency with regard to the role of the BOE trustees. He is a straight shooter and Michael’s track record has demonstrated that his decisions are based on listening to all the facts, which includes what is best for our students, taxpayers and the community members.

School Board Trustees are charged with creating a climate that promotes educational excellence while balancing the needs of the students, educators and community members. I am certain that the experience, intelligence and commitment that both Marianne and Michael bring to the table make them the most qualified candidates to carry out this mission.

I ask you to join me in voting on May 21 in support of the district’s budget and for Marianne Russo-Manning and Michael Nightingale for North Shore Board of Education Trustees.
