On Oct. 3, 2013, our family and the City of Glen Cove suffered a tremendous loss, the passing of our dad, Tony Gallo Sr. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother uncle, cousin and friend to many. We were truly overwhelmed by the outpouring of love, affection and kindness that was extended to our family throughout this time of great sorrow. We always knew that our dad was loved by many, but it wasn’t until his passing until we realized how many lives he truly touched.
Without a shadow of a doubt, what makes Glen Cove a special place are the caring people of this community. The season of Thanksgiving is upon us and as we reflect, our family is both mindful and thankful for the blessings that we are still able to share with our family, friends and the community of Glen Cove.
We would like to thank and acknowledge all of the friends and family who extended their prayers and kind gestures to our father and our family in our greatest time of need.
We would like to especially thank and acknowledge the Glen Cove EMS, Glen Cove Police Department, Auxiliary Police Department, Glen Cove Fire Department, Mayor Ralph Suozzi and his staff, the volunteers at the Church of St. Rocco and the many local businesses: La Ginestra, Arturo Gomes, St. Rocco’s Bakery, Frank Monaco, The Downtown Café, Chef Michael, Frank’s Beer & Soda, Pasquale Cervasio. May God bless you and your families this Thanksgiving season with much health, happiness, peace, and love.
