Glen Cove Woman To Fight For Charity

Terese “The Knockout” Arenth, a resident of Glen Cove, and a partner with the law firm of Moritt Hock & Hamroff, LLP of Garden City, has been selected to be one of the boxers for the tenth Long Island Fight for Charity, which will be held on November 25 at the Long Island Hilton in Melville. This action-packed, highly anticipated event is one of Long Island’s leading fundraising and networking events. The Long Island Fight for Charity expects more than 1,200 people to attend, and projects that it will raise  $200,000 to support members of the community.

Terese Arenth, who is well-versed in “knocking out” her legal opponents, will be among more than 20 of Long Island’s brightest and toughest business professionals to go head-to-head in the ring. The card for the evening will include more than 10 bouts, pitting local business professionals against each other for charity.

One of the anticipated bouts will feature Terese “The Knockout” Arenth. “Training and dedicating my time to the Fight for Charity event is well worth the hard work. This challenge will allow me to grow as a person and I am grateful for the opportunity to give back to Long Island and support the Long Island Community Chest. This is a unique and special experience that I will not soon forget,” said Arenth.

“As a founder [of Long Island’s Fight for Charity] and past boxer I know it takes time, effort and dedication to prepare, raise funds and participate in this event. I have the utmost respect for all those volunteering to put the gloves on to fight for the benefit of others and for helping us to reach our goal by supporting the Long Island Community Chest,” said Jeff Cohen.

Tickets for the event are available online. Ringside seats are $195, premium seats are $125, and both include admission to a pre-event special networking and cocktail reception. The event starts at 5:30 p.m., with a V.I.P. reception. The doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the boxing will begin at 6:30 p.m. More than 20 local restaurants will provide delicious food and beverages for the event.

Fight for Charity’s mission is to raise money directly to help neighbors and local charities including the Long Island Community Chest, the Genesis School and the National Foundation for Human Potential.
